Vanesa Sale, BA, RMT, DOMP, DO/DN (candidate)
Vanesa is equally passionate about the arts and sciences and their relationship with one another and is committed to being a life long learner and dreamer!
She was born in the Philippines and has lived a colourful youth in Kuwait and New York with her family before settling in Canada.
Before finding her calling in manual therapy, she first finished an Honours Degree in English Literature and Rhetoric at the University of Waterloo in 2014 and followed a path in digital marketing, but ultimately decided it was not for her.
She then pursued a path in massage therapy after seeing the benefits of manual therapy when she injured herself dancing.
In 2016, Vanesa finished her Diploma of Massage Therapy from Mohawk College and has been a registered massage therapist with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO) since 2017 and has worked in various settings, ranging from spas, multidisciplinary clinics and a private practice before coming to Kitchener-Waterloo.
Most recently, she is a graduate of the Manual Osteopathic Practitioner diploma program from the National Academy of Osteopathy and is currently a candidate for the Doctor of Osteopathy and Doctor of Naprapathy dual program from the National University of Medical Sciences (Spain).
Since entering the field, Vanesa has developed an interest in chronic pain management treating conditions such as headaches/migraines, TMJ dysfunctions, and women’s pelvic health dysfunctions.
Her hybrid approach utilizes theories and techniques from both Western and Eastern practices.
This helps guide her to the root of your pain and allows for a more thorough treatment plan with tools that help you beyond the treatment room.
When she is not in the office, you can find Vanesa cooking up a storm with her partner, and enjoying delicious eats, reading or hanging out with her pets, Tulsi the cat and Eli the dog!
