Dr. David Sangster
Kitchener Chiropractor Dr. David Sangster has been a lifelong resident of Waterloo. He attended the University of Waterloo, graduating with a double major in the Honours Science Program. He went on to attend the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College where he graduated a Doctor of Chiropractic.
In his final year of study, Dr. Sangster was selected for a clinical externship at the South Riverdale Community Clinic in Toronto where he gained considerable experience working with patients experiencing unique neurological illnesses, severe neuro-musculo-skeletal conditions and sports related injuries.
In 2008, Dr. Sangster was honoured when approached by the New York Chiropractic College and asked to participate in the Clinical Externship Program. This program involved mentoring advanced chiropractic students through the final year of their program.
Dr. Sangster has graduated from the McMaster University Health Sciences program in Medical Acupuncture. He currently incorporates medical acupuncture as a component of his program of care in managing pain, restoring function and treating a variety of ailments and conditions.
Being active in the community is important for Dr. Sangster. He has participated in the Region of Waterloo’s Pre Natal Health Fairs since 2009 and has been asked to speak at numerous professional venues, corporate health fairs, sports groups and commercially sponsored events on a variety of health topics.
Dr. Sangster also participates as an interviewer and assessor for the McMaster University Medical School Admissions Committee. This entails the review of candidate responses to challenging ethics based questions, student candidate reflection of personal attributes and one-on-one candidate interviews.
Dr. Sangster believes patient education is the fundamental component of sound health care. Dr. Sangster is confident that, if his patients understand the cause of their injury, they will be better able to prevent future reoccurrences. Dr. Sangster works with his patients and their family physicians to address and quickly resolve injuries and improve the quality of their lives.
